The New Voice of Vallarta Is Heating Up — And This Sunday’s Round Could Change Everything
Tomorrow gets loud.
And yes… Will Walker (Our Editor In Chief) be sitting at the judges’ table.
The New Voice of Vallarta is already heating up inside Coco Cabaret, and this Sunday’s round is shaping up to be one of the strongest yet.
If you’ve been waiting to see what real Puerto Vallarta entertainment energy looks like in 2026, this is it.
This show is building something special.
Every week the audience decides who stays.
Every week the pressure rises.
Every week someone gets closer to the title.
And the finale is coming fast.
A Competition That Puerto Vallarta Needed
The New Voice of Vallarta 2026, presented by Villa Tita and produced by Selena Luna, launched April 12 as a four-week live singing competition designed to spotlight serious local talent.
Ten finalists stepped onto the Coco stage.
Now the field is narrowing.
By May 3, Puerto Vallarta will crown its newest vocal standout and award a $20,000 peso grand prize.
This isn’t karaoke night.
This is a performance series with stakes.
And the room feels it.
Inside Coco Cabaret On Competition Day
Each Sunday afternoon, the doors open early and the energy builds fast.
Locals.
Visitors.
Industry performers.
Friends cheering from the front tables.
By 4:00 PM, the lights drop and the voices take over.
Here’s what to expect this Sunday:

Hosted By A World Champion Voice
The competition is guided by host Luis Villanueva, who represented Mexico and won the World Karaoke Championships.
He knows exactly what it takes to command a stage.
And it shows.
Every week he keeps the show moving with energy, humor, and real performer insight.
Backed By One Of Vallarta’s Most Iconic Properties
Support for the competition also comes from Hacienda San Angel, one of the most recognizable hospitality names in Puerto Vallarta and a Michelin-recognized destination known for elegance, music, and culture.
That kind of backing signals something important.
People believe in this project.
Why This Show Matters Right Now
Puerto Vallarta has always had talent.
But platforms like this create momentum.
They give singers visibility.
They give audiences ownership.
And they bring fresh energy into the local performance scene.
This is exactly the kind of event visitors ask about when they’re looking for things to do in Puerto Vallarta beyond the beach.
Live competition.
Real stakes.
Real voices.
Real crowd votes.
